The Institute of History of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Debrecen and the Department of Military History of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń held their second joint Polish-Hungarian international historian symposium in Poland. The English-language conference served as a venue for experts in modern and contemporary history to disseminate their recent research.

With almost 6,500 visitors, this year’s International Food Day saw record-breaking attendance. The exceptionally well-received event was organized by the Student Union of the University of Debrecen and the International Student Union (ISU) which represents the foreign students at the university. This year, as many as 36 nations’ specialties were available for attendees to taste at the northern event area of the Nagyerdei Stadium, along with the performances of young musical talents and bands of the international student community who entertained the guests until dawn.
Leaders of eight European higher education institutions from the CARPE consortium (Consortium on Applied Research and Professional Education) convened for their annual meeting at the University of Debrecen from Wednesday to Friday. The professionals discuss the development directions for effective cooperation in the coming years.
